DUTCH EXCHANGE VISIT

24TH - 27TH OCTOBER 2007

Mersea judo club has had a exchange program with Iman Kars for over 20years, iman comes from near Middelharnis in Holland and every year they come over for a visit and then we visit them the following year, many freindships have been made over the years, all the children and adults have a wonderful time when we go to visit them with most children staying with the same families year after year.

on thursday the dutch and their host families enjoyed a fun day at the youth camp on the high ropes with iman getting a little nervous being so high up!! all the children really enjoyed themselves, on the friday we went to the camp for the competition which was held in a  good sporting manner,well done to the mersea members who have just started judo you all did very well.

results

certificate awards went to- alex booth, francis gurton, joanne bunyan, oscar whiting, tom parimor, jack hiller, tom crossley, william gurton, nanda snoek and stephen blacklock.

bronze medals went to- megan butcher, tim crossley, thomas daines, robert crossley, zac gosling, harry todd, nathalie tanis, neils wetsteijn, kimberly wetsteijn and josh dow.

silver medals went to- lucy whiting, luke powling, jake munson, matthew riley, jorden wilson, jessie gant, bryony humm, craig bunyan, jessie hewes and jereon kars.

gold medals went to- amelia young, eleanor bredin, luke bunyan, oliver young,adam porter, josh whiting, stefanie voogd, olaf verschuure, mattijs geodegeboor and joint gold to dave bredin and iman kars.
