FANTASTIC PERFORMANCES AT AREA GRADING
The judo club attended the SE Area grading at Highwood’s on Sunday 11th November with 31 members taking part, I have to say it was one of Mersea’s best performances with everyone giving 110% effort on the day, can I thank all my instructors who give their time up week after week to teach our children judo and therefore getting great results like these.
Everyone got at least one grade with some getting three grades which is superb, special mentions must go to Edward Lee who achieved his brown belt which is the highest grade as a junior, also one of Mersea hottest talents Luke Bunyan gained his green belt + 2tags he was outsized by all his opponents but that didn’t stop him he was excellent and his grading officer said he was very impressed with him, showing very high skill levels against much bigger players, also Josh Whiting was awarded his Blue belt after a successful line up again against much bigger opposition.
